Swiftsure and Trafalgar Class submarines

HMS Splendid

S (Swiftsure) and T (Trafalgar) class submarines are British nuclear powered hunter-killers (SSN's). They are extremely similar, with the Trafalgar class being essentially a modernised Swiftsure class, so are grouped together.

Fire Control is provided by either the Alenia Marconi (originally Ferranti) DCB system (which is now re-hosted on COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf) UNIX technology) or the BAE SYSTEMS SMCS system.
